An Online Valentine
If you're like many online lovers, Valentine's Day can be a very
difficult holiday to overcome. This year, make sure you make the most of
this precious, romantic holiday by following a few of these tips and
ideas.
- Have A Virtual Wedding.
Set up a private chat on a free web hosting site, like Geocities,
Theglobe.com, Tripod, etc. Have a friend be your minister. Invite a
few friends by sending out virtual card invitations, and then share
the not legal, but very sentimental way to express your feelings!
- Create An online Web Dedication.
People love to see their name in lights. Give your lover a permanent
glorification by creating a web page dedication. It's easy and fun!
- Poetry Gallery
Who can think of Valentine's Day without also thinking about love
poetry? Hunt down about 10 poems that you feel describe your
sweetheart or your relationship. Then give the poems to your love in
the order you want them to be read.
- Gift Certificates
If you're not sure what your partner would like, or don't have
their mailing address yet, send them a gift certificate!
- Private Chat
The closest thing to an intimate night alone together is a private
chat. Either create a chat room from one of the multiple free hosting
companies, like Geocities, Xoom or Tripod, or find a site that offers
private chat options.
- Virtual Dinner
Send your love a virtual dinner package. Include all the items &
directions they'll need to make a romantic dinner. (If you can't do
this, send them an ingredients list & directions.) Then, either
splurge for the phone call and make dinner and eat it while chatting
on the phone, or meet online to eat together in the atmosphere of
candlelight!
- Phone Call
Some of my fondest memories with my husband while we were in an
online relationship where when we happened to stay up the entire night
on the phone together.
- Virtual Gifts
Every hour, send your love a virtual gift. Many e-card sites offer
cards of virtual gifts to send. With each gift write a note explaining
why you choose the gift. If possible, make the last card an invitation
to meet you in a private chat or on the phone.
Have a
Happy & Romantic Valentine's Day
